Custom Protein Bar Packaging Film
Turn your bar range into clear, recognizable single-pack branding.
Custom printed film for suitable protein-bar flow-wrap lines. Review the material, artwork repeat, unwind direction and sealing brief around your actual bar and equipment.
Send your bar dimensions, machine drawing and quantity per design. Finished packs pictured are design concepts; empty printed film is supplied.

Which Film Fits Your Protein Bar Line?
Begin with the packing machine supplier’s approved film drawing and sealing requirements. Bar dimensions and artwork are part of the brief, but web width, repeat, registration and reel specifications determine how the film must be supplied.
Confirm the product-contact and sealing route before choosing a structure. Oils, binders, coatings, storage conditions and heat sensitivity can change the material review. Cold-seal requirements need separate capability confirmation.
Printed Film Supplied for Your Flow-Wrapping Process

See the Film and the Finished-Pack Result
Runlong Pack supplies printed rollstock. Your compatible equipment forms the film around the bar, creates the longitudinal seal and closes the two ends. The front and rear pack views illustrate branding and a typical flow-wrap appearance.
The reel layout, material and sealing conditions need line-specific approval. This image is a visual concept, not a print-ready web drawing or a verified machine setup.

Protein, Energy and Cereal Bar Packaging Film
Protein Bars
Share the recipe category, firmness, surface condition and any coating. Review direct contact, storage and how the bar reaches the sealing area.
Chocolate-Coated Bars
Discuss coating temperature and heat sensitivity with the equipment supplier. Ordinary film does not replace temperature control during storage or transport.
Energy & Nut Bars
Oils, sticky binders and uneven pieces affect contact and handling. Check the complete bar rather than inferring suitability from the flavor name.
Cereal & Granola Bars
Loose grains, crumbs and irregular edges can enter seal areas. Review product consistency, feeding and clearance on the intended line.
The packaging does not establish nutritional, health or dietary claims for the food. Buyers provide and approve the product description, ingredient information and market-specific label wording.
Confirm Web Width, Repeat and Unwind Direction
A finished bar size is a starting point, not an approved film size. Use the machine supplier’s drawing, including the seal allowances and print orientation.
| Specification | What to send | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Bar dimensions | Length, width, height, shape tolerance and any tray. | Product fit, feeding arrangement and clearance around the bar. |
| Web width & repeat | Machine-approved film width and cut/repeat pitch, in millimeters. | Forming geometry, longitudinal seal allowance and end-seal layout. |
| Eye mark & artwork | Mark position, dimensions and contrast requirements; front/back layout. | Print registration, cutting position and readable branding after formation. |
| Unwind direction | Approved reel orientation, print side and leading artwork direction. | Correct threading and artwork orientation on the packing line. |
| Core & reel limits | Core inner diameter, maximum reel outer diameter/weight and splice requirements. | Compatibility with reel handling and the unwind unit. |
| Sealing conditions | Machine model, sealing method and agreed operating/line-trial conditions. | Material and process compatibility; no universal line speed is assumed. |
Mark revision numbers on the film drawing and approve the layout before production. A screen mockup, generic orientation illustration or another supplier’s reel does not replace your machine specification.
Review Materials Around the Recipe and Sealing Process
Oils, Aroma and Moisture
Share the formulation category, surface oils, sticky binders, storage brief and target shelf life. Assess relevant barrier requirements and the complete sealed pack.
Heat-Seal Requirements
Confirm the machine and operating requirements. Evaluate sealant compatibility and keep coating, crumbs or product residue away from the longitudinal and end seals.
Cold-Seal Requirements
Tell us before quotation if the line needs cold seal. Supply capability, coating layout and process conditions require separate confirmation; printed artwork alone does not establish suitability.
Transparent, metallized or foil-containing constructions can be considered where suitable. A metallic appearance is not proof of barrier performance, and thicker film is not automatically the right film. Review food contact, friction/handling and sealing together with the agreed trial criteria.
Runlong Pack uses food-grade raw materials without recycled, secondary or scrap materials. Request available food-contact documentation applicable to the proposed structure and intended use. Review compliance and quality information.
Keep the Brand Consistent Across Flavors
Define the Product Clearly
Make the brand, product name and flavor easy to identify. Coordinate colors across chocolate, peanut butter or vanilla designs without relying on color alone.
Map Front and Back Areas
Position readable copy away from the longitudinal seam and end-seal/cut areas. Plan ingredients, relevant allergens, net quantity, barcode and lot/date coding within the approved drawing.
Approve Each SKU
Review dielines, artwork, colors, materials and quantity per design. Selected matte, gloss and other finishes are assessed for the actual specification.
A film repeat must work after folding and sealing, not only as a flat image. Confirm the legibility and location of the product name and barcode on representative formed packs.
Trial Quantity, Printing and Reorder Planning
| Order stage | Planning reference | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Suitable digital trial | Some projects around 10 kg can be evaluated. Not a universal film MOQ; the unit packaging cost can be high. | Equipment, structure, width, process, artwork and an agreed trial quantity. |
| Normal commercial order | Generally recommended around 300 kg or more. | Quantity per design, approved film drawing and a suitable digital or gravure route. |
| Reorder program | Plan around actual consumption and usable yield. | SKU mix, setup loss, drawing revision, production timing and delivery needs. |
Do not apply a premade-pouch piece MOQ to a film order. Wrapper count per kilogram depends on web width, repeat, material, thickness and usable yield. The approximately 37 cm finished digital pouch-width limit is not a rollstock web-width specification.
Reference Samples and Film Trials
Available reference samples are normally free, with buyer-paid freight. A customer-specific film trial is quoted separately for its material, printing and quantity. Approve trial criteria with the actual product and equipment.
Production Timing
For suitable standard projects, digital production is typically around 8–10 working days. Gravure cylinder making typically takes 7–9 working days, followed by around 15–20 days of production after cylinders are ready.
Approvals and Shipping
Timing follows final specification/artwork approval and the required payment. Film trials, special processes, scheduling, holidays and shipping can add time. Confirm the applicable production and delivery plan for your order.

Learn about Runlong Pack →Protein Bar Packaging Film FAQ
Do you supply film or individually made protein bar wrappers?
This page is for custom printed rollstock film supplied on reels for suitable flow-wrap equipment. Finished wrappers in the images illustrate the result after the buyer’s line forms, fills and seals the film. They do not establish a supply offer for individual premade bar wrappers or packed food.
What information is needed for a protein bar film quote?
Send the bar length, width and height, product photo and contact/storage requirements, plus the packing machine model and approved film drawing. Confirm web width, repeat length, registration mark, unwind direction, core size, maximum reel diameter, material/thickness if specified, quantity per design and destination.
Can I calculate web width from the bar dimensions?
Bar dimensions help start the discussion, but the machine supplier’s approved drawing is required. Product cross-section, forming geometry, longitudinal seal allowance and end-seal layout influence the web and repeat. Do not use a generic finished-pack size or an AI mockup as the production film specification.
Is heat-seal or cold-seal film suitable for my bars?
Confirm the line’s sealing method and the product’s heat sensitivity first. Heat-seal material must suit the machine and agreed operating conditions. Cold-seal and other special processes require separate capability and specification confirmation; they are not automatically included in a printed-film quotation.
Which material is best for protein bar packaging?
There is no universal structure. Share the recipe category, oils or sticky surface, coating, target shelf life, storage and transport conditions, plus sealing requirements. Suitable transparent, metallized or foil-containing constructions are assessed against the complete brief. The food producer validates the final product in its selected package.
Can you make film for energy bars and cereal bars too?
Suitable energy-bar, cereal-bar and granola-bar projects can be evaluated under the same rollstock review process. Sticky binders, loose grains, nuts, chocolate coatings and irregular dimensions can change contact, barrier, loading and sealing requirements; suitability is not assumed from the product name alone.
What is the minimum order for protein bar packaging film?
Some digital film trials around 10 kg can be evaluated when equipment, structure, web width and process conditions are suitable. This is not a universal minimum and the unit packaging cost can be high. Normal commercial orders are generally recommended around 300 kg or more. Confirm the actual specification and quantity per design before quotation.
How many wrappers will I get from a kilogram of film?
The count depends on web width, repeat length, structure, thickness and usable yield. A kilogram cannot be converted into a universal number of protein bar wrappers. Request an estimate for the approved specification and account separately for line setup, splices, trimming and production loss.
Can you print several flavors or seasonal designs?
Yes, share the artwork and quantity per design, together with the film structure and machine drawing. Compare digital and gravure using the complete order and reorder plan. Different designs are not automatically priced as one design, and changes to print layout must be approved before production.
Can I get samples and a packaging mockup?
Available reference samples are normally free, with buyer-paid freight, and help review appearance or material. Custom film trials are quoted separately for the actual specification and quantity. A free static mockup is normally prepared within two days after receiving the necessary logo, bar information and design idea. It is not a machine-approved film drawing.
