Built Around Your Product and Packaging Machine
Custom roll stock film is not selected by appearance alone. Runlong Pack matches the material structure, dimensions, sealing layer, barrier performance and print specification to your product and automatic packing line.
Material Structure
Each Film Layer Has a Specific Job
A laminated roll film can combine printing, barrier protection and heat sealing in one flexible structure. The final combination depends on the packed product, shelf-life target and machine conditions.
Common structure examples
- BOPP / CPP
- PET / PE
- PET / VMPET / PE
- PET / AL / PE
Examples are for initial discussion only. The appropriate structure should be confirmed against the actual product and packaging process.
What Can Be Customized
The Key Roll Film Specifications
Specifications are coordinated so the printed film runs, forms and seals consistently on your equipment.
Film Width & Thickness
Matched to the required finished pack size, product weight and machine forming set.
Roll Direction & Core
Unwind direction, print orientation, core size and roll diameter are set for the packing line.
Barrier Performance
Moisture, oxygen, aroma and light protection are selected according to product sensitivity.
Sealing Performance
The inner layer is selected around sealing temperature, speed and contamination conditions.
Printing & Registration
Custom graphics, repeat length, eye marks and registration requirements support accurate cutting.
Surface & Functional Options
Gloss or matte appearance and suitable functional features can be discussed for the application.
How Many Bags Can Your Roll Film Produce?
Enter the roll weight, actual film web width, print repeat length and total thickness to calculate a practical bag quantity estimate.
Estimated quantity tolerance: ±5%. Material density, thickness tolerance, printing ink and adhesive weight, splices, machine setup and production loss cannot be fully confirmed by a simple online calculation. The final finished quantity may therefore be approximately 5% higher or lower than the displayed estimate. Final requirements should be confirmed from the approved roll film specification.
From Packaging Brief to Finished Roll
A Clear Process for Custom Roll Film
A successful roll stock film project depends on confirming the product, packing machine and artwork together. This workflow helps reduce avoidable errors in film size, print repeat, unwind direction and sealing performance.
Packaging Brief
Share Product & Machine Details
Provide the product, pack size, target weight, machine model and photos of the current package.
Technical Review
Confirm the Film Specification
Discuss material structure, thickness, width, repeat length, barrier and sealing requirements.
Prepress
Check Artwork & Roll Direction
Confirm artwork layout, colors, eye marks, print repeat, orientation and unwind direction before printing.
Approval
Approve the Production Details
Review the agreed specification and applicable proof or sample method before full production begins.
Completion
Produce, Inspect & Ship
Roll film is produced to the confirmed details, checked, packed and prepared for the agreed shipment.
The exact approval and sampling route can vary by product, artwork and order requirements. Runlong Pack will clarify the applicable steps during specification review.

Consistency You Can See in Every Finished Roll
For automatic packaging, quality is more than attractive printing. Roll stock film must follow the confirmed specification and remain consistent in dimensions, registration, winding and sealing behavior so it can run reliably on the packing line.

Material & Specification
Review the confirmed film structure, total thickness, width and other project-specific technical details.
Print & Registration
Check artwork appearance, print orientation, repeat length, eye marks and registration against approved details.
Slitting & Roll Formation
Review slit width, roll edges, winding condition, core information and the required unwind direction.
Final Identification & Packing
Confirm roll identification and protective packing details before the finished roll film is prepared for shipment.
What is the minimum order quantity for custom printed roll film?
For digitally printed roll film, the production MOQ can be as low as 10 kg. For customers in the United States, we recommend ordering 12 kg or more when using air shipping, because the applicable air service starts from 12 kg. For gravure-printed roll film, the minimum order quantity is normally 300 kg or more. Final MOQ is confirmed according to film structure, width, artwork and production setup.
Should I choose digital printing or gravure printing?
Digital printing is suitable for small trial orders, product launches and multiple SKUs because it supports a low starting quantity. Gravure printing is generally better suited to stable, larger-volume orders. Runlong Pack can compare the two methods after reviewing your artwork, quantity and film specification.
What if I do not know which roll film specification my machine needs?
Send the packing-machine model or nameplate, a short machine video, the current film roll and a finished package photo. These details help confirm film width, repeat length, eye-mark position, core size and unwind direction.
What information is needed for a roll film quotation?
Please provide the packed product, pack size, target filling weight, film width or current specification, order quantity, artwork, packaging-machine information and destination country. If details are missing, photos of the existing package and film roll are a useful starting point.
Can the film material, thickness and barrier level be customized?
Yes. The material structure, total thickness, oxygen or moisture barrier, sealing layer and surface appearance can be discussed according to the product, shelf-life target and packing conditions. Common examples include BOPP/CPP, PET/PE, PET/VMPET/PE and PET/AL/PE.
How do we confirm the correct roll direction and print orientation?
The unwind direction, artwork orientation, eye-mark location and print repeat should be confirmed before production. A photo of the current roll installed on your machine is often the clearest reference when the technical direction number is unknown.
Can I receive samples before placing a production order?
Available stock samples can be discussed for checking material feel and workmanship. A custom printed sample depends on the artwork, printing method, structure and project requirements. Ask the Runlong Pack team which sampling route is suitable for your project.
How long does custom roll film production take?
Lead time depends on the printing method, material structure, order quantity and artwork approval status. A reliable production estimate can be provided after the complete specification and artwork have been reviewed and confirmed.
