Which Ice Cream Packaging Do You Need?
Choose premade pouches when you need converted empty bags for a suitable filling and final-sealing process. Choose printed rollstock when your equipment forms and seals the package from film. Paper carry bags and insulated delivery bags are secondary outer packaging for products already packed in their primary packaging.
Selected digitally printed premade pouch projects may start from approximately 100 pcs; this is not a minimum for every format. Rollstock, paper carry bags and insulated bags require separate order planning and specification review.

Primary packaging is different from secondary packaging. Paper carry bags and insulated outer bags do not replace the primary food-contact package.

Primary Ice Cream Packaging Options
The primary package is used around or immediately contains the frozen product. The right flexible packaging format depends on how you fill, wrap and seal it.
Premade Ice Cream Bags
Runlong Pack supplies converted empty flexible pouches that you fill and complete with the required final sealing process. Stand-up pouches, flat pouches and other suitable premade formats can be reviewed for mochi ice cream, frozen bites, multi-piece desserts and suitable multipacks.
Send the product type and dimensions, pieces per pack, preferred pouch format, filling opening, final sealing method, quantity and number of designs.
Final bag dimensions should be confirmed from the actual packed product and packing method rather than net weight alone.
Printed Rollstock Film
Custom printed film can be developed for compatible wrapping equipment used for ice cream bars, popsicles, frozen bars and other suitable automatic packing applications.
Confirm the machine manufacturer and model, current film specification, film width, print repeat, eye mark, unwind direction, core ID, maximum roll dimensions and estimated film quantity.
Rollstock specifications should be matched to your actual packaging equipment and packing process.
Premade or Rollstock: How to Decide
Start with the equipment and loading process you already use or plan to install. An empty pouch and a continuous film roll are different production inputs; matching artwork does not make them interchangeable.
If you do not know the complete roll specification, send photos of the current roll, finished package and film installed on the machine, together with the machine manufacturer and model.
Single-bar finished wraps shown in design illustrations demonstrate a rollstock application. Special single-bar flow-wrap premade bags, unusual shapes and cone wrappers are subject to separate review and are not standard offers on this page.

Applications of Custom Ice Cream Packaging
Mochi Ice Cream & Frozen Bites
Premade pouches can be considered for suitable multi-piece projects when the pouch matches the filling and sealing process. Confirm piece count, product dimensions, an inner tray or no tray, individual wrapping, pouch dimensions and filling method. Printed weights in concept artwork are not standard capacities.
Ice Cream Bars & Popsicles
Printed rollstock can be developed for compatible wrapping equipment. Confirm machine and film specifications for each project, including the intended seal arrangement. Do not select film by the food name or package appearance alone.
Mini Ice Cream Multipacks
Flexible outer bags can group individually wrapped frozen products. Confirm the number of inner products, whether they are individually wrapped, their arrangement, outer pack dimensions, loading method and final seal.
Other Frozen Treat Packaging
For ice cream sandwiches, frozen desserts or unusual formats, send dimensions, existing packaging and packing-process information. We review the format against the actual application before recommending a structure.
Custom Ice Cream Packaging Options

Materials & Barrier
Material structure and thickness are selected according to the product, storage conditions, handling, sealing process and project requirements. There is no single PET/PE or other construction for every ice cream package.
Review moisture and oxygen protection needs, light exposure where relevant, resistance to handling damage and the required sealing behavior. The final structure depends on the product, shelf-life target, packing process and destination-market requirements.
Size & Production Limits
Measure the actual product arrangement, trays and inner wraps. Include room for loading, seal areas and any zipper or other feature. For suitable digital pouch projects, maximum finished bag width is approximately 37 cm.
Rollstock dimensions must fit the actual equipment. Cold-storage performance, unusual constructions and special shapes require project review; the printed artwork does not establish a validated production specification.

What to Check
Use samples to confirm dimensions, product fit, print appearance, filling opening and sealing requirements. Agree the material and relevant validation requirements for the actual frozen product.
Rollstock machine trials and trial film quantities are discussed separately. A visual print sample alone does not confirm equipment compatibility or cold-storage performance.
Coordinate flavors and print layouts
Artwork & Print Preparation
Final artwork should follow the confirmed pouch dieline or rollstock layout. Check the brand and product name, flavor or SKU, barcode, seal areas, fold positions, important text and print orientation.
CMYK artwork is normally suitable for digital printing; Pantone is not a mandatory digital-printing requirement. Discuss color expectations with the selected print process before approval.
Keep important text and codes clear of agreed seal and fold zones. Rollstock layouts also need the confirmed repeat, registration mark and unwind direction.

Takeaway & Delivery Packaging for Ice Cream

Custom Paper Carry Bags
Use branded paper carry bags for ice cream shops, frozen dessert stores, retail purchases, takeaway orders and gift or multipack carrying.
An inner laminated or coated layer can improve moisture resistance and help the paper bag maintain its appearance when cold products create condensation. Select the paper, inner treatment and any reinforcement according to product weight, condensation and carrying conditions.

Full-color branding can be discussed according to the selected bag structure and printing method.
