Resealable Beef Jerky Bags Built Around Your Brand

A zipper stand-up pouch is a practical format for retail packs that customers open more than once. The bottom gusset provides shelf presentation, while the front and back panels provide space for your branding, product information and required labeling.

Full-Print Zipper Pouches

Use the complete front panel for your brand and product imagery. Evaluate an opaque barrier structure where light protection matters; a dark printed design alone does not establish barrier performance.

Clear-Window Options

Let buyers see the jerky through a defined window. Window shape, area and position must be coordinated with the artwork, gusset and selected laminate.

Distinctive Retail Artwork

Develop a recognizable design for your beef jerky range. Matte or gloss finishes and different flavor artworks can be evaluated alongside quantity per design.

A Resealable Zipper Does Not Replace the First Heat Seal

1. Fill and Heat Seal

For the proposed top-filled pouch, leave enough clearance above the zipper for your final heat seal. Keep oil, seasoning and jerky fragments away from the seal area.

2. Open at the Tear Notch

Coordinate the tear notch, heat-seal band and zipper position so the customer can remove the sealed top without damaging the reclosure.

3. Reclose Between Uses

The zipper makes repeated opening and closing convenient. It does not restore the original unopened seal or guarantee the same shelf life after opening.

Confirm the usable opening with your actual jerky pieces and filling method. Trial the finished pouch on your sealing equipment before approving a production specification.

Match the Barrier and Window to Your Beef Jerky

There is no single material specification for every beef jerky recipe. Product moisture, fat content, processing, intended shelf life, storage and distribution conditions all affect the packaging brief. We review oxygen, moisture and light protection requirements before recommending a structure.

Option to evaluateWhy consider it?Confirm before ordering
Opaque metallized or foil laminateFor projects requiring light protection and a suitable gas/moisture barrier.Actual laminate, thickness, seal compatibility and handling requirements. Metallic appearance is not a performance test.
Clear or windowed barrier constructionFor product visibility with an application-specific barrier requirement.Window area, exposure to light and barrier data for the complete pouch structure.
Different front and back constructionsA windowed front and opaque back may be evaluated for a particular design.Manufacturability and whole-package protection. An opaque back does not eliminate transmission through a clear front.
Window planning: A continuous aluminum-foil or ordinary metallized layer cannot cover a transparent window. The window area needs a suitable transparent construction or compatible process. Confirm the complete material specification before finalizing artwork.

Using oxygen absorbers or nitrogen flushing? Tell us your process so we can evaluate pouch compatibility. Absorber selection, gas settings and food shelf-life validation require your food-process and equipment review; the pouch alone does not establish product safety or shelf life.

Review our available food-contact documentation for the ordered material and intended use.

Confirm Your Resealable Beef Jerky Bag Specification

Net weight alone does not determine pouch dimensions. Thick strips, small bites and loosely packed pieces occupy different volumes. Allow space for the bottom gusset, filling access, zipper and top seal.

Pouch dimensionsWidth, height and bottom gusset, with the gusset measurement convention clearly shown. Confirm usable capacity by filling samples.

Not sure about dimensions? Use our packaging bag size guide as a starting point, then compare samples with your product. Final dimensions and fill suitability need written approval before production.

Custom Printing for Launches and Repeat Orders

Artwork and Flavor Variants

Coordinate your original, spicy and other flavor designs within one brand system. Supply quantity per artwork; multiple designs do not automatically share the same setup or pricing.

Sizes and Finishes

Custom dimensions, windows, tear notches, hanging holes and matte or gloss finishes can be evaluated. Feasibility depends on the bag size, laminate and production method.

Print-Ready File Review

Editable artwork is preferred. A JPG, PNG or AI concept can start the discussion, but final wording, barcodes, legal labeling and layout require your approval.

Digital printing generally uses CMYK. If exact brand colors matter, discuss the required color standard and printing process before approving the order.

MOQ, Samples and Production Timing

Digital Printing

Suitable ordinary pouch projects may be evaluated from around 100 pieces. Around 1,000–3,000 pieces is generally a more practical starting range.

Typical production: approximately 8–10 working days, subject to specification and scheduling. Maximum finished pouch width is approximately 37 cm.

Gravure Printing

Suitable standard pouch projects typically start around 10,000 pieces. Compare total costs for stable repeat orders and larger quantities.

New cylinders take approximately 7–9 working days, followed by approximately 15–20 days for production after cylinders are ready.

Sample Evaluation

Limited stock or reference samples are generally free, with shipping paid by the customer. These help assess format, material and printing—not certify the final specification.

Ordinary custom printed samples before a bulk order are approximately USD 50–70 each, subject to size and process. Special finishes are quoted separately.

Final MOQ depends on size, material, thickness, accessories, artwork and SKU split. Production timing starts after final artwork/specifications and required payment are confirmed. Transit time is additional; holidays and production scheduling can affect the plan.

For a qualifying gravure bulk order of more than 20,000 pieces per design, the sample fee can be refunded under the confirmed sample policy. See sample options and costs before choosing your evaluation route.

Agree the Specification Before Making the Bags

Specification Review

Confirm dimensions, material, closure, artwork and quantity per design. Agree which samples and filling/sealing trials are needed before approving production.

Project-Specific Checks

Dimensions, printing, lamination and seals can be checked against the order specification. Leakage, pressure or drop evaluations are selected as appropriate—not assumed identical for every order.

Documents and Shipping

Request available applicable test and material documents. Delivery terms and shipping options, including DDP where a suitable route exists, are confirmed for the destination and order.

  1. Share your product, bag requirements and order plan.
  2. Review the proposed specification, quotation and sample route.
  3. Approve the final artwork, dimensions and order arrangements.
  4. Proceed with production, agreed checks and shipment.

Resealable Beef Jerky Packaging FAQ

Do resealable beef jerky bags still need heat sealing?

Yes. For the top-filled pouch described here, the filled bag needs its final heat seal above the zipper. The zipper is a reclosure for consumer use, not a substitute for the original seal. Confirm the seal allowance and trial the pouch on your equipment.

Can you make beef jerky bags with a clear window?

Yes, suitable windowed constructions can be evaluated. Confirm the window area, artwork and required protection. An opaque foil or ordinary metallized layer cannot cover the transparent window itself; the complete pouch needs an appropriate structure.

Can these pouches be used with oxygen absorbers or nitrogen flushing?

Compatibility can be reviewed for the specific pouch and packing process. Tell us the absorber or gas-flush method, material requirements and sealing equipment. Your food-process team must validate the finished product and shelf life; these methods do not make every pouch suitable automatically.

What size bag do I need for my beef jerky?

Share the fill weight, piece dimensions and a reference bag if available. Product shape and packing density affect capacity, so the same net weight can require different bag dimensions. Confirm the fit by filling samples before approving the final size.

Can I order several flavor designs?

Yes. Provide the quantity for each design, not just the total. Digital printing can suit smaller or multi-SKU projects when the structure is suitable. Gravure generally requires cylinders for each design, so compare the complete setup and production costs.

Do you supply empty packaging or filled beef jerky products?

This page is for custom empty packaging bags, not beef jerky food products. You or your packing partner fills and seals the bags using a validated process.

Can you guarantee a fixed shelf life for my jerky?

No fixed shelf life can be established from the pouch alone. The recipe, processing, food condition, packaging atmosphere, seal quality, storage and distribution all matter. We can evaluate the packaging specification against your requirements; validate the finished product under its intended conditions.
