Custom Cocoa Powder Packaging Bags
Build your cocoa packaging around the powder, the fill and the shelf.
Custom printed cocoa powder bags and rollstock for baking cocoa, cocoa mixes and suitable dry beverage powders. Choose a retail pouch or machine film around the actual recipe, powder behavior and packing process.
Share your product photo, target fill and quantity per design. We supply empty packaging; pictured brands and weights are illustrative concepts.

Which Packaging Route Fits Your Product?
A resealable stand-up pouch is a practical starting point for suitable retail cocoa powder. For single servings formed on an automatic line, evaluate printed rollstock against the machine drawing. Use the actual recipe and fill to review powder dust, fat content, moisture, light exposure and closing conditions.
This page covers dry cocoa powder and suitable cocoa mixes. Chocolate pieces, bars and coated snacks require a different product and handling brief.
Develop the Pack for Your Actual Product
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Fat content, particle size and dust vary by product. Review the actual powder and target shelf life before choosing a material and filling route.
Drinking Cocoa Mix
Sugar, dairy and other ingredients change the recipe and storage requirements. Review the complete formulation and relevant allergen information.
Single-Serve Cocoa Portions
Small portions may be produced from rollstock on compatible equipment. A printed finished sachet is a package illustration, not a film-width specification.
Compare Your Packaging Formats
Resealable Stand-Up Pouches
A retail option for repeated scooping. Confirm fill height, clean zipper and initial heat-seal clearance.
Stand-up pouches →Flat Premade Pouches
For suitable small portions or test batches. Check usable opening and the final sealing area for powder filling.
Flat pouch options →Automatic Sachet Rollstock
Printed reels for the buyer’s compatible forming, filling and sealing machine. Send the approved machine drawing.
Printed rollstock →Protect aroma and plan for cocoa powder dust

Cocoa can contain different levels of fat and fine particles. Review moisture and oxygen protection, light exposure and expected storage alongside the actual product recipe. Dairy or sugar in a drinking mix can change the brief.
A resealable pouch needs room for filling, scooping and a clean heat seal. Review powder aeration and settlement before fixing dimensions; keep dust away from zipper tracks and seal faces.
Evaluate barrier requirements with the complete sealed construction. Metallic appearance alone does not establish foil content or barrier performance; the food producer validates the filled product and shelf life.
Choose the Material for the Product and Its Storage
Review moisture and oxygen requirements, light exposure, the recipe, intended shelf life, transport and sealing conditions. Suitable clear, metallized or foil-containing constructions can be evaluated; the food producer validates the actual filled package.
Ask for the food-contact test documents applicable to the selected material and intended use. Printed visual concepts do not establish material construction or performance.
Send a Useful Brief for a Size Recommendation
| Information | What to share |
|---|---|
| Actual product | Product photos, recipe category, bulk density and powder behavior where available. |
| Intended fill | Net weight or portion size, powder density if known, normal fill variation and settled volume. |
| Packing method | Premade bag opening and closing route, or the approved film drawing for your machine. |
| Order & destination | Quantity per design, number of SKUs, storage, target shelf life and delivery destination. |
Use our bag size guide to prepare measurements. Confirm the gusset convention, usable interior and seals on the final drawing, then check fit with actual product. A printed weight on a concept image is not a standard capacity.

Printed Cocoa Sachet Film for Automatic Packaging
We supply printed rollstock on reels for a compatible automatic packaging machine to form, fill and seal. Confirm film width, repeat, eye mark, unwind direction, core, maximum roll diameter and seal conditions. The finished sachet pictured on a design concept does not establish a machine specification.
Approve artwork separately from machine geometry. Registration, seal areas, usable interior and product clearance need to work together in representative trials.
Build a Printed Range That Is Easy to Reorder
Identify Each SKU
Make the product and variety easy to read. Coordinate colors across the range while keeping recipes and fill sizes distinct.
Reserve Functional Space
Allow room for approved ingredients, relevant allergens, net quantity, barcode, storage instructions and lot/date coding. Keep important text away from seals and folds.
Approve the Production File
Confirm dieline, artwork version, material, quantity per design and color expectations. AI artwork can start a discussion; it is not automatically a print-ready production file.
MOQ, Samples and Production Planning
| Route | Planning reference | Confirm before quote |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary digital pouches | Some suitable projects around 100 pieces; approximately 1,000–3,000 generally recommended for value. | Bag format, size, material, finishes and quantity per design. |
| Ordinary gravure pouches | Generally around 10,000 pieces. | Colors, cylinders, structure, order volume and repeat-order plan. |
| Printed rollstock | Some suitable digital trials around 10 kg; normal commercial recommendation around 300 kg+. | Machine film drawing, material, sealing requirements and separately quoted trial scope. |
These are conditional references. Format, dimensions, film consumption, material, special processes and artwork count determine suitability. Very small bags and special formats use separate assessment.
Sample Plan
Available reference samples are normally free with buyer-paid freight. Ordinary printed samples are typically USD 50–70 each; selected special finishes may be USD 100–150. Other formats and film trials are quoted separately.
Production Timing
Digital production is typically around 8–10 working days. Gravure cylinder making typically takes 7–9 working days, followed by around 15–20 days of production after cylinders are ready.
Approvals & Delivery
Timing follows final specification/artwork approval and required payment. Material availability, trials, special processes, production scheduling, holidays and transport affect the actual delivery plan.

Learn about Runlong Pack →Cocoa Powder Packaging Bags FAQ
Can you make packaging for cocoa powder and drinking cocoa mix?
Suitable custom pouch and rollstock projects can be evaluated. Send the actual powder type, ingredients, target fill, packaging dimensions, storage and filling process. A cocoa mix containing dairy or sugar may have different requirements from unsweetened baking cocoa.
Which material should I use for cocoa powder?
Review the actual cocoa formulation, fat content, moisture and oxygen requirements, light exposure, desired shelf life, storage and sealing process. Clear, metallized and foil-containing laminates can be evaluated for suitable projects. Validate the food in its final package.
Can cocoa powder bags be resealable?
A suitable stand-up pouch can include a zipper for repeated use after the initial top heat seal is opened. Keep dust out of the zipper and seal area. A zipper does not replace the original heat seal or restore unopened-pack conditions.
How can I prevent powder contamination of the seal?
Review the dosing location, product settlement, dust-control process and sealing method with the equipment supplier. Test representative filled pouches and seals. There is no universal sealing temperature or dust-control guarantee.
What size bag is right for 250 g of cocoa?
No one size fits every cocoa powder. Density, aeration, powder formulation and pouch geometry affect the filled volume. Check actual loose and settled fill, gusset, usable opening and sealing clearance with a filled sample.
Can I add a clear window?
An intact clear-film window can be evaluated against the whole-package storage requirements. A continuous opaque foil or metallized layer cannot remain across the transparent area. A clear front with an opaque back is a different construction and does not automatically provide full-foil barrier performance.
Can cocoa sachets be made using printed rollstock?
Suitable rollstock can be evaluated for the buyer’s compatible automatic machine. Send the approved web width, repeat, marks, unwind, reel limits and sealing requirements. Film is supplied on reels; the equipment forms, fills and seals the package.
Is the same pouch suitable for cocoa and chocolate pieces?
Not automatically. Fine cocoa powder requires review of dust and sealing; chocolate pieces have different geometry, handling and temperature considerations. Confirm each product and validate the actual filled pack.
What is the MOQ for custom printed powder bags?
Some suitable ordinary digital pouch projects can be evaluated around 100 pieces, with approximately 1,000–3,000 generally recommended for value. Ordinary gravure pouches generally start around 10,000 pieces. Dimensions, structure, finishes and quantity per design affect the final minimum; special formats and very small bags require separate confirmation.
Can I request samples and a branded packaging mockup?
Available reference samples are normally free with buyer-paid freight. Custom samples are quoted for their format and specification. A free static mockup is normally prepared within two days after the required logo, product details and design idea are received; the drawing, materials and filled samples are approved separately.
