Look Beyond a Heat-Resistant Label
A cooking pouch needs more than a temperature claim. Buyers should understand what was tested, how long the temperature was maintained, which parts were inspected and what the evidence does—and does not—establish.
Quick Answer
Runlong Pack samples finished Moi Moi pouches after bulk production for high-pressure cooking tests, including more than 40 minutes at at least 121°C. Inspections cover pouch rupture, zipper detachment and food leakage. Pressure, leak and seal integrity checks provide additional quality information. These are packaging checks, not validation of the customer’s food sterilization process or shelf life.
Quick Facts
- Stage: sampling after bulk production.
- Thermal exposure: at least 121°C for more than 40 minutes—not a claim of one full hour at 121°C.
- Critical areas: pouch body, side seals, other sealed edges and zipper assembly.
- BPA evidence: report HUAX260513004KR, N.D.; method detection limit 0.1 mg/kg.
- Ordering: approximately 25,000 pieces; no digital printing or custom printed proof pouches.

What Does the Cooking Test Cover?
The confirmed Runlong Pack procedure uses samples from completed production. Filled pouches undergo high-pressure cooking, with more than 40 minutes at a temperature of at least 121°C. After the process, the samples are inspected for physical failures and food escaping from the package.
When comparing suppliers, distinguish the complete equipment cycle from the holding time at the stated temperature. Heating and cooling can form part of the overall cycle. The temperature/time statement here is the confirmed packaging test condition; it is not a universal cooking instruction for every food.
Equipment settings also do not establish the temperature reached at the coldest point inside a food portion. Food formulation, fill weight, heating behavior and the intended storage method require appropriate process validation. Do not infer commercial sterility or ambient shelf life from an intact pouch alone.
Separate Pressure, Leak and Seal Checks
These checks answer related but different questions. A useful test record identifies the sample, method, conditions and observed result rather than simply stating “quality passed.”
| Check | What is reviewed | What the buyer should request |
|---|---|---|
| Post-cooking inspection | Pouch rupture, detached zipper and food escaping through seals or the zipper opening. | Sample identification, actual thermal conditions and observations after testing. |
| Pressure testing | Pouch performance when subjected to the selected pressure evaluation method. | Applied method, load or pressure, duration and acceptance criteria for the project. |
| Leak testing | Evidence of leakage and the location where it occurs. | Test method, filling condition and separate observations for side seals and zipper areas. |
| Seal integrity inspection | Condition of sealed edges and relevant connections. | Inspection scope and any additional quantitative seal testing agreed for the order. |
Runlong Pack has confirmed these inspection categories. A universal numerical pressure rating, sample size or AQL is not specified here. Agree the applicable method and criteria before relying on a particular performance threshold.

Why Check the Zipper Separately?
The design objective is convenient opening from the outside while resisting food forcing the zipper open from within. The opening function and the zipper-to-film attachment are different aspects: a closure may remain engaged while its attachment fails, or the closure itself may open under internal loading.
Inspect both areas after the relevant process. Record whether food escaped at the zipper opening, whether the zipper detached, and whether damage occurred at the adjacent pouch material. This makes troubleshooting more useful than calling every failure a “leaking bag.” Follow safe cooling and depressurization procedures; never open equipment or handle pressurized hot packages contrary to its instructions.

What Does the BPA Report Actually Show?
Report HUAX260513004KR, issued by Shenzhen Huaxiang Testing Co., Ltd. for Shantou Runlong Packaging Co., Ltd., records BPA as N.D. with a method detection limit of 0.1 mg/kg. The report defines N.D. as not detected or below that limit. It describes Food Packaging Bag RL-01, with PET/VMPET/PE structure.
Runlong Pack confirms applicability of this report to its Moi Moi pouch offering. Buyers should review the report and confirm how it relates to the material specification being ordered. The document is a sample test report, not a claim that every finished pouch was individually tested or that the laboratory report explicitly names Moi Moi.
The report evaluates BPA content using solvent extraction and HPLC. This is separate from the physical cooking test and does not by itself establish all food-contact migration requirements under every use condition. For the exact scope, read the BPA test report and review our packaging compliance guidance.
A Buyer Checklist Before Ordering
Copy the following fields into your enquiry. “Not yet confirmed” is a useful answer: it identifies what still needs review before a production specification is approved.
| Information | Your project details |
|---|---|
| Food type and relevant ingredients | ________________ |
| Fill weight or volume per pouch | ________________ |
| Pouch width, height and gusset | ________________ |
| Filling and closure method | ________________ |
| Cooking equipment, temperature and holding time | ________________ |
| Cooling, handling and storage conditions | ________________ |
| Sales market and documentation requirements | ________________ |
| Total quantity and quantity per artwork | ________________ |
| Requested test method and acceptance criteria | ________________ |
For each trial, also record the sample or batch reference, food used, fill quantity, closure settings, actual time/temperature record, inspection locations and observed result. Photographs of any failure should show both the whole pouch and the affected area. Separate what was observed from the suspected cause.
How Testing Fits the Order Process
Start with the application and pouch specification, then review available documentation and sample options. Custom Moi Moi production normally starts at approximately 25,000 pieces, subject to the confirmed project. Digital printing and custom printed proof pouches are not available. Suitable existing pouch or material samples may be evaluated for availability, but a different sample does not automatically validate the final ordered specification.
See the custom Moi Moi cooking pouch product page for formats, artwork preparation and ordering information. Sampling after bulk production supports manufacturing quality control; it complements rather than replaces the buyer’s application validation.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are finished Moi Moi cooking pouches tested?
After bulk production is completed, Runlong Pack selects finished pouches for high-pressure cooking tests. The test includes more than 40 minutes at a temperature of at least 121°C. Samples are then checked for pouch rupture, zipper detachment and food leakage through side seals, other sealed edges or the zipper opening. This is batch sampling, not testing of every pouch.
What does the BPA test report show?
Report HUAX260513004KR from Shenzhen Huaxiang Testing Co., Ltd. records BPA as not detected (N.D.), with a method detection limit of 0.1 mg/kg. Runlong Pack confirms this report is applicable to its Moi Moi pouch offering. The report itself identifies sample RL-01, PET/VMPET/PE; review the report alongside the confirmed material specification for your order.
What cooking details should I provide before ordering?
Share your food formulation, fill weight or volume, pouch dimensions, closure method, equipment, cooking temperature and holding time, and intended storage conditions. Production sampling does not replace validation of your own food process or shelf life.
