Custom Pet Treat Packaging Rollstock Film
Custom printed film for compatible pet treat form-fill-seal and flow-wrap lines. Coordinate branding, barrier structure and roll specifications with your actual machine before moving to commercial production.
Custom print repeats · Machine-specific roll specifications · Trial review · Commercial rollstock production
For pet snack manufacturers and contract packers using automatic packaging equipment. We supply printed packaging film—not a complete packing machine—and review the film around your product, line and sealing process.

Choose the Film Route Around Your Treat and Line
Bites on a Vertical Packing Line
For compatible dosing systems, review the drop, product fragments, bag style and sealing area. The film must match the forming set and the actual line requirements.
Sticks and Strips on a Flow Wrapper
Check product length, infeed arrangement, print repeat and the required end and longitudinal seals. A premade zipper pouch is not interchangeable with flow-wrap film.
Small Portions and Trial Packs
Coordinate the film layout with the machine lane count and cut positions where applicable. Net weight alone does not determine repeat length or roll width.
Balance Product Protection with Machine Performance
Product-Specific Laminate
Review moisture, oil, oxygen and light sensitivity alongside storage requirements. Film intended for dry bites should not automatically be used for wet, retort or high-temperature applications.
Sealant and Running Behavior
Confirm seal type, temperature range, dwell time and pressure through a representative trial. Stiffness, surface friction and film tracking may affect how the material runs.
Actual Pack Integrity
Inspect longitudinal and end seals, cut registration and product contamination at the jaws. A film that looks correct on the roll still needs validation as a filled pack.
The Specifications That Prevent Rollstock Mismatches
Width, Repeat and Eye Mark
Provide the machine-approved web width, repeat length, eye-mark dimensions, color and sensor location. A finished bag width is not the same measurement as web width.
Unwind and Printed Face
Confirm the direction using a drawing or the machine supplier’s reference. Numbered unwind conventions vary; agree the actual orientation, printed face and sealant side.
Core, Diameter and Weight
Confirm core internal diameter, maximum outer diameter, reel weight and roll-handling limits. These dimensions must match the machine and operator setup.

Confirm a machine-approved film drawing
Use the drawing to agree seal zones, repeat length and eye-mark position before artwork is released. Film specifications must be matched to the actual machine, not estimated from a finished-pack photograph.

Machine and Process
Machine make/model, VFFS or flow-wrap process, seal style, number of lanes if relevant, working speed and an approved film drawing or current roll specification.
Product and Performance
Treat dimensions, target portion, oil/moisture characteristics, barrier needs, storage conditions, filling temperature and intended shelf life.
Artwork and Roll Delivery
Artwork files, number of SKUs, print repeat, eye mark, unwind drawing, width, core, maximum diameter/weight and estimated kilograms per design.
Rollstock or Premade Pet Treat Bags?
Choose Rollstock for an Equipped Line
Rollstock is formed and sealed by compatible equipment. Compare film, setup waste, changeovers, labor and throughput together—not only the material price per kilogram.
Choose Premade for a Pouch Filling Process
Premade zipper bags may suit manual, semi-automatic or compatible pouch-feeding operations. They arrive as converted bags, but filling and final sealing still need review.
Plan Recipe Changeovers
Small batches across many designs can create setup and film waste. Discuss repeat lengths, common specifications and realistic usage before choosing the order split.
Trial the Film Before Approving a Large Run
Start with the Approved Drawing
Check width, artwork orientation, eye mark, seal zones and roll dimensions before manufacture. Use the machine supplier’s specifications as the starting point.
Run Representative Conditions
Check web tracking, registration, jaw settings, product loading and seal performance at realistic operating conditions. Record adjustments and agree the final specification.
Review Yield and Repeat Orders
Separate theoretical packs per roll from usable output after startup and changeover losses. Retain the approved specification and artwork version for repeat orders.
Printing, MOQ, Samples and Lead Time
Compatible Trial Rolls
Some suitable digital film trials may be evaluated from approximately 10 kg. This is conditional on material, web width and process compatibility, and has a high unit packaging cost—not a universal MOQ.
Commercial Quantities
Normal commercial orders are generally recommended around 300 kg or more. Confirm quantity per design, roll dimensions and repeat-order usage. Special structures require a separate assessment.
Samples and Machine Trials
Ask about available material references and representative trial-film feasibility. A printed appearance sample does not prove line compatibility. Trial quantities, costs and acceptance checks require project confirmation.
Eligible digital production typically takes approximately 8–10 working days. For new gravure cylinders, allow approximately 7–9 working days for cylinder making, followed by approximately 15–20 days of production after cylinders are completed. Timing starts after final artwork/specification approval and required payment; shipping is additional. Actual scheduling is confirmed for the project.
Review the MOQ guide, printing comparison and sampling policy.
Runlong Pack: Manufacturing Support for Your Brand

Our flexible packaging production uses food-grade raw materials, without recycled, secondary or scrap materials. Applicable documentation is reviewed for the proposed structure and intended use; this is not a universal certification for every package.
Quality checks may cover dimensions, print, lamination and seals, with additional tests selected for the agreed project. See our manufacturing capabilities and available testing information.

Custom Pet Treat Packaging Rollstock Film FAQ
Can this film run on every VFFS or flow-wrap machine?
No. Confirm the machine, web width, repeat, unwind direction, core, roll diameter, structure and sealing conditions. A representative trial is required before assuming compatibility.
What is the MOQ for pet treat rollstock?
Some compatible digital trial projects can be evaluated from around 10 kg, with a high unit packaging cost. Normal commercial orders are generally recommended around 300 kg or more. Material, width, process and artwork can change feasibility.
Does rollstock arrive as finished zipper bags?
No. It is supplied on rolls for compatible forming and sealing equipment. If you need converted resealable pouches, request premade pet treat bags instead.
Can you calculate how many packs one roll will make?
An estimate requires roll weight or length, film area weight, web width and print repeat. Actual usable output also depends on startup waste, splices, adjustments and the operating process.
Can I order several recipe designs?
Yes, subject to printing and roll specifications. Quantity, cylinder requirements and practical changeover losses should be evaluated per design; combined pricing is not automatic.
What should I send if I do not know the film specifications?
Send your machine make/model, supplier film drawing and a photo or specification of the current roll. Confirm the missing dimensions with the machine supplier before ordering.
