Custom Freeze-Dried Pet Treat Packaging Bags
Custom printed resealable pouches for freeze-dried chicken, beef and fish treats. Build a retail pack around moisture-sensitive pieces, your brand artwork and the way your customer opens and recloses the bag.
Moisture-barrier evaluation · Custom sizes · Zipper and window options · Digital and gravure printing
We supply empty custom packaging to pet treat brands, manufacturers and private-label buyers—not the treats inside. Send your product photo, fill weight, approximate loose-fill volume and quantity per design for a pouch recommendation.

A Pack for Each Freeze-Dried Treat Format
Chicken and Meat Cubes
Light, porous pieces can occupy more volume than their weight suggests. Check the largest cube, loading method and usable space below the zipper. Avoid choosing a bag only from a printed 100 g or 200 g reference.
Fish Pieces and Larger Bites
Irregular shapes and firm edges need practical filling and handling trials. Allow space without forcing the product into the corners; review carton packing as well as the pouch.
Small Bites and Treat Toppers
Fine fragments can collect around the zipper and seal. Review opening width, controlled filling and clean sealing space, especially where the product is dispensed repeatedly.
Protect the Texture: Start with Moisture Control
Confirm the Product and Storage
Share the recipe, product condition at packing, target shelf life and storage humidity. Freeze-dried products are not frozen products: the bag must be selected for the actual dry-product application.
Review the Complete Laminate
Compare moisture and oxygen barrier data with its test conditions where available. Metallized, foil or appropriate transparent barrier structures may be evaluated; thickness and a shiny appearance alone do not establish performance.
Validate the Filled Package
Check the initial heat seal, handling and storage using your own product. A zipper is for reclosure after opening; it does not restore an unopened seal or guarantee a fixed shelf life.
Stand-Up or Flat Bottom: Choose Around the Retail Pack
Resealable Stand-Up Pouch
A practical starting point for many treat brands. Coordinate bottom gusset, opening width and top sealing clearance so the pouch fills cleanly and stands as intended.
Flat-Bottom Option
Consider additional printed panels and shelf presentation where the fill volume supports the format. This is a different pouch process with its own sample cost and quantity evaluation.
Small Trial and Retail Packs
For smaller portions, check the usable area left after seals, zipper and artwork. A reduced fill weight does not automatically reduce the manufacturing MOQ.
Can Freeze-Dried Pet Treat Bags Have a Clear Window?
Show the Treat, Keep the Specification
A window can show the actual texture and piece size. Its location and area must be assessed alongside the required moisture, oxygen and light protection.
Use a Transparent Window Structure
A continuous opaque foil or metallized layer cannot remain across a clear window. A transparent front and opaque back can be evaluated, but are not automatically equivalent to a fully opaque barrier pouch.
Use Printed Product Photography Instead
A full-print pouch can communicate the recipe without a clear area. Choose windowed or opaque packaging after reviewing the product and shelf-life target, not only the concept image.

Turn your design into a practical pack
Choose a clearly readable product name, distinctive recipe colors and artwork sized to the approved dieline. Leave functional areas such as the zipper, tear notch and seals clear of critical text.

Information to Confirm Before We Quote
Product and Fill
Treat type, largest piece, target weight, loose-fill volume, moisture sensitivity and expected storage conditions.
Size and Closure
External width and height, bottom gusset notation, usable fill space, zipper position, tear notch and hanging-hole requirements.
Artwork and Order
Logo, recipe variants, print finish, quantity per design, delivery country and a sample or photo of your existing packaging.
Approve with a Real Filling Trial
Check Capacity Without Crushing
Trial-fill representative pieces and leave room for closure and heat sealing. Compare appearance before and after settling and handling.
Keep Product Out of the Seal
Assess dust and crumbs at the filling station. Confirm sealing temperature, dwell time and pressure on the selected structure and your equipment.
Review Distribution and Storage
Assess pouch and carton protection together. Validate the intended storage period with the actual product; the packaging image is not shelf-life evidence.
Printing, MOQ, Samples and Lead Time
Digital Printing
Some ordinary pouch projects may be evaluated from around 100 pieces; approximately 1,000–3,000 is generally recommended for better value. Final feasibility depends on structure, size and finishing. Maximum finished digital pouch width is approximately 37 cm.
Gravure Printing
Ordinary custom pouch projects generally start around 10,000 pieces, subject to specifications. Compare total costs for stable repeat artwork. Multiple designs normally require separate cylinder evaluation.
Reference and Custom Samples
Limited available reference samples are normally free, with freight paid by the buyer. Ordinary printed samples are approximately USD 50–70; special finishes generally USD 100–150, subject to confirmation.
Flat-bottom formats follow separate rules: around 1,000–2,000 pieces can be evaluated for digital printing; compare routes around 3,000+ pieces. A flat-bottom printed sample is approximately USD 110, with added finishes quoted separately.
For a qualifying gravure bulk order of more than 20,000 pieces per design, the sample fee may be refunded under the confirmed project arrangement.
Eligible digital production typically takes approximately 8–10 working days. For new gravure cylinders, allow approximately 7–9 working days for cylinder making, followed by approximately 15–20 days of production after cylinders are completed. Timing starts after final artwork/specification approval and required payment; shipping is additional. Actual scheduling is confirmed for the project.

Custom Freeze-Dried Pet Treat Packaging Bags FAQ
Can you make bags for both dog and cat freeze-dried treats?
Yes. Packaging can be evaluated for dog or cat treat projects. The material and size depend on the actual recipe, piece dimensions, fill volume, processing and storage—not only the animal pictured on the pack.
Which material is best for freeze-dried pet treats?
There is no single best laminate for every product. Share moisture and oxygen sensitivity, light protection needs, storage conditions and target shelf life so the complete structure can be reviewed.
Can the pouch have a transparent window?
Yes, for suitable structures and projects. The clear area cannot contain a continuous opaque foil or metallized layer. Evaluate the complete pouch barrier rather than assuming a foil back provides full foil-level protection.
Does a resealable zipper replace the heat seal?
No. The zipper supports repeated opening after purchase. An initial heat seal and clean seal area should be confirmed with your filling process.
Can you recommend a bag from the fill weight?
Fill weight is a starting point, not a size guarantee. Freeze-dried pieces vary in bulk density and shape. A reference bag and real filling trial help confirm the final dimensions.
Can you show our logo on the bag before ordering?
We offer a free static mockup, usually within two days after receiving the necessary logo and design details. Physical samples and print-ready artwork are separate project steps.
