Custom Dog Jerky Treat Packaging Bags
Custom printed pouches for dried beef, chicken and duck dog treats. Match the bag to strip length, product oil, moisture and your sealing process, with branding designed for a clear retail presentation.
Dried strips and bites · Resealable pouch options · Custom artwork · Product-specific barrier review
For pet treat manufacturers, private-label suppliers and growing dog snack brands. We supply empty packaging, with dimensions and materials reviewed for the actual treat rather than copied from human jerky packaging.

Packaging for Strips, Bites and Mixed Treat Sizes
Long Jerky Strips
Start with the longest and widest pieces, not just net weight. Check how strips enter the pouch and whether the opening remains practical for customers after the top is torn away.
Short Bites and Training Pieces
For small portions used repeatedly, assess a convenient zipper opening and a pack that is not oversized. Crumbs and oil should be kept clear of closure and sealing areas.
Firm or Irregular Pieces
Review edges, stiffness and handling conditions. A suitable film structure and pack-out test are more useful than assuming every thicker bag is sufficiently puncture resistant.
Select the Bag Around Oil, Moisture and Storage
Dried Does Not Mean One Specification
Jerky recipes can differ substantially in moisture and fat content. Tell us whether your treats are dry, semi-moist or require refrigeration. Wet or thermally processed products need separate review.
Oxygen, Moisture and Light
Evaluate the relevant barrier performance for the recipe and shelf-life target. Full-print opaque and suitable transparent-window structures have different trade-offs.
Sealing and Product Contact
Confirm the sealing layer and practical sealing conditions with the actual treat. Oil or fragments in the seal area can interfere with package integrity; clean filling remains important.
Build a Practical Resealable Retail Pouch
Zipper with Initial Heat Seal
Reserve enough space for the first heat seal above the zipper. The zipper helps customers reclose the opened pack; it is not proof of airtight storage or processing suitability.
Tear Notch and Hanging Option
Coordinate tear location with the top seal and zipper. If the pack hangs at retail, review hole placement and support with the filled pack rather than the empty artwork.
Gusset and Shelf Fit
Use the bottom gusset to provide appropriate volume and standing behavior. Confirm whether a gusset dimension represents one folded side or the total opened depth.
Window or Full-Print Dog Jerky Packaging?
Windowed Presentation
Let shoppers see strip shape and color through a defined clear area. The window should leave sufficient room for recipe identification and mandatory product information.
Opaque Full-Print Artwork
Use realistic product photography and a clear recipe name where light protection or full artwork coverage is preferred. Approve printed color against the chosen production method.
Material Trade-Off
The clear area cannot contain continuous opaque aluminum foil or metallization. A clear front with an opaque back still requires complete-package barrier evaluation.

Turn your design into a practical pack
Choose a clearly readable product name, distinctive recipe colors and artwork sized to the approved dieline. Leave functional areas such as the zipper, tear notch and seals clear of critical text.
Explore our packaging customization process and share your project details before finalizing the artwork.
Size the Bag Around the Longest Treat
Measure a Representative Batch
Share minimum and maximum strip dimensions, stiffness, target fill weight and loose-fill arrangement. Product variation can affect both filling and closure.
Allow Working Space
Confirm usable opening, seal margins, headspace and zipper position. Do not force long strips across the closure or into the top-seal zone.
Confirm on Your Filling Setup
Compare a reference sample with the real product. Assess hand filling or the actual dosing system, shelf presentation and outer-carton fit before final artwork approval.
A Pre-Production Check for Dog Jerky Brands
Recipe and Labels
Keep beef, chicken and duck artwork clearly distinguishable. Buyers approve ingredients, feeding information, barcode and destination-market wording; concept-pack text is not a ready-to-use legal label.
Sealing Trial
Assess suitable temperature, dwell time and pressure with clean and representative production conditions. Review applicable seal, leak and handling checks for the agreed specification.
Storage Evaluation
Use your actual recipe and distribution conditions to validate shelf life. A barrier pouch or nitrogen flushing alone does not establish a safe storage duration.
Printing, MOQ, Samples and Lead Time
Digital Printing
Some ordinary pouch projects may be evaluated from around 100 pieces; approximately 1,000–3,000 is generally recommended for better value. Final feasibility depends on structure, size and finishing. Maximum finished digital pouch width is approximately 37 cm.
Gravure Printing
Ordinary custom pouch projects generally start around 10,000 pieces, subject to specifications. Compare total costs for stable repeat artwork. Multiple designs normally require separate cylinder evaluation.
Reference and Custom Samples
Limited available reference samples are normally free, with freight paid by the buyer. Ordinary printed samples are approximately USD 50–70; special finishes generally USD 100–150, subject to confirmation.
For a qualifying gravure bulk order of more than 20,000 pieces per design, the sample fee may be refunded under the confirmed project arrangement.
Eligible digital production typically takes approximately 8–10 working days. For new gravure cylinders, allow approximately 7–9 working days for cylinder making, followed by approximately 15–20 days of production after cylinders are completed. Timing starts after final artwork/specification approval and required payment; shipping is additional. Actual scheduling is confirmed for the project.

Custom Dog Jerky Treat Packaging Bags FAQ
Can you print separate beef, chicken and duck designs?
Yes. Digital or gravure printing can be evaluated for each artwork. Confirm quantity per design; different recipes do not automatically share one gravure cylinder set or one MOQ.
Are these the same bags as human beef jerky packaging?
Similar formats may be considered, but the actual recipe, moisture, oil, strip dimensions, labeling and packing conditions must be checked separately.
Can I choose a clear window?
A suitable window can be evaluated. It changes the material options in the clear area, so the whole pouch must still meet the agreed barrier and handling requirements.
Can the bag be used for soft or wet meat treats?
That requires separate assessment. This page focuses on dried jerky-style treats; do not assume the same structure is suitable for wet food, retort processing or a refrigerated product.
What is the starting quantity?
Some ordinary digital pouch projects can be evaluated around 100 pieces, with approximately 1,000–3,000 generally recommended for better value. Ordinary gravure projects generally start around 10,000 pieces. Final MOQ depends on the confirmed specification and quantity per design.
Can you help select a size for long strips?
Yes. Send the longest strip dimensions, fill weight and a product photo or reference pouch. Confirm final capacity with a filling trial before production.
