A custom spout pouch is not defined by capacity alone. Product behavior, filling temperature, cap, spout position, film structure and order quantity all affect the final solution.
What information is needed for a custom spout pouch?
Start with the actual liquid or semi-liquid product, fill volume, pouch size, spout and cap requirement, filling method, filling temperature, storage conditions and order quantity. These details determine whether the pouch can be filled and sealed reliably and which material performance must be confirmed.
Runlong Pack normally evaluates digital printing from approximately 1,000 pieces for a suitable spout-pouch project. Gravure printing normally starts at approximately 15,000 pieces. Final MOQ still depends on size, material, spout, process and design.
What is a spout pouch?
A spout pouch is a flexible premade package fitted with a pouring spout and closure. Depending on the project, the spout may be placed at a corner or at the top, and the pouch may use a stand-up bottom, shaped profile or handle. It is filled through the spout or another designed opening according to the selected production method.
Match the pouch to how the product is used
Food and sauce
Purees, sauces, honey, oil and similar products require confirmation of product compatibility, viscosity, filling and storage conditions.
Beverage and concentrate
Juice, water and concentrates may need different capacities, oxygen or light protection and dispensing formats.
Home and personal care
Detergent, shampoo and refill products require chemical-compatibility and leakage review.
Large liquid packs
Higher-capacity pouches may need a handle, stronger seals and transport testing.
Choose functional details before artwork is locked
The spout diameter must suit the product flow, filling equipment and user experience. Cap design, tamper evidence, child-related requirements, placement and available top-seal space must be confirmed before the dieline and artwork are approved.

Confirm volume with the real product and process
The same nominal volume can behave differently depending on density, viscosity, foam, headspace and filling temperature. A large pouch also needs enough space for the spout, sealing and handling without overfilling the usable body.

Filling data
Confirm manual or automatic filling, filling temperature, fill direction and sealing process.
Use and transport
Explain how the pouch will be opened, poured, reclosed, packed in cartons and transported.
Select performance for the actual contents
A spout-pouch laminate may need oxygen, moisture or light protection together with puncture resistance, flex-crack resistance, reliable heat sealing and product compatibility. The required balance changes between juice, oil, sauce, detergent and personal-care products.

Custom gravure spout-pouch projects normally start at approximately 15,000 pieces. Separate cylinders are normally required for different designs.
Final confirmation
Size, material use, spout, cap, design, SKU split and production process can change the actual MOQ and unit economics.
